Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure solutions on cloud platforms, primarily Azure.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity, and proactively identify areas for optimization and improvement. Perform tuning of cloud resources to maximize cost effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable cloud solutions.
  • Work closely with technology counterparts to align mobile, web, on-prem & cloud initiatives with overall IT strategy and architecture.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mobile, web, on-prem, and cloud infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Provides technical support and assistance to internal and external customers during normal and after regular hours. Provide after-hours support as needed for critical systems, which may include weekends and holidays.
  • Implement and enforce live site policies, ensuring adherence to security standards, compliance, and best practices while maintaining a best-in-class experience during outages.
  • Comply with the change management policies to ensure that routine, comprehensive, and emergency changes are logged and approved.
  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing use of DevSecOps tools and processes.
  • Provide support for data-related services and deployments within Azure.
  • Create, update, and maintain documentation of dev ops policies, including design documents, operations documents, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
  • Contribute to the creation and testing of contingency plans, including business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response.
  • Work with 3rd-party vendors as needed.
  • Complete any special projects assigned by the given deadline.
  • Develop reports and presentations for management as needed.
  • Mentor and guide other IT team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in dev ops/live ops.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or another comparable field of study, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in dev ops, live ops, IT operations, or system administration.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing, networking, security, and automation tools.
  • Strong Experience with Linux, Windows, AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, MongoDB, Kafka, Data Dog, or similar technologies.
  • Passion for sports and technology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Expert level of experience with Azure, Azure IAM, Azure Monitor (at least 2-3 years).
  • Expert-level experience with Kubernetes (at least 2-3 years).
  • Expert-level experience with Terraform (at least 2-3 years).
  • At least 2-3 years of experience working with microservices.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience working with mobile apps, websites, and IoT devices.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking and HTTP/S.
  • Experience supporting enterprise edge, on-prem & cloud data environments.
  • Experience with production readiness and operation capabilities using tools like Azure Monitor, Azure Sentinel, Azure Automation, Azure Backup, Azure Security Center, etc.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based systems supporting enterprise web-based applications.
  • Excellent understanding of cloud security concepts and hands-on experience with security controls and practices in a cloud environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate with others in the company across technical and non-technical roles.
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching engineers on DevOps culture, automation, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience people managing a team of DevOps engineers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud Certification.
  • Advanced Python/Java/Go and Linux experience, at least 2-3 years.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
