Short Description: -
- The SENIOR SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for providing reliable, cost-effective, & secure enterprise-wide support for business-critical production & non-production databases for the Client.
- This position requires candidates that have recent hands-on experience in ALL aspects of SQL DBA Administration.
Required Skills: -
- 6 Years Experience SQL Server 2016 (or later versions) database administration.
- +4 Years in Windows Server Administration experience
- +4 Years Building and maintaining Windows Host and Guest Server.
- +4 Years Installing and managing end point protection
- +4 Years Application Server, Web Server, File Server, and FTP Server configuration and maintenance.
- +4 Years Utilizing PowerShell for administration tasks.
- +4 Years Windows Failover Cluster configuration and maintenance.
- +4 Years Windows Server Roles and Features.
- +4 Years .NET Framework Components.
- Installing and upgrading SQL Servers, including applying service packs.
- Certifications .

- GenTax Software Application architecture and application maintenance.
- Performing routine database maintenance
o Creating and scheduling SQL Server jobs to perform database maintenance activity

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with FAST GenTax/DS-VS architecture and application maintenance
Familiarity with industry security standards (PUB1075, FIPS, and PII) - Cloud computing knowledge: - Cloud storage, backup, and restore mechanisms
- Firewall administration and maintenance
- Active Directory knowledge (GPO, FQDN, DNS Server, SPN)
- Email, SMTP, and Proxy Server troubleshooting
- Web Services development and support
- Availability to provide 24-hour support
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
