Job Details

SGA is seeking a Technology/Infrastructure Project & Operational Lead (Project Manager/Service Delivery) to manage complex technical infrastructure initiatives on a long-term contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in lower Manhattan, NYC. This role focuses on overseeing projects that include desktop and datacenter coordination, user and equipment moves, and driving high-quality execution from planning through implementation. He or she will need to work in the office 2-3 days/week.

The Service Delivery Manager has end-to-end accountability for the delivery of a set of highly available, consistent, appropriate, and responsive and quality operational services across the IT solutions deployed. The Service Manager is charged with operational readiness of the technology solutions deployed and supported.

Responsibilities:
  • Executing defined Projects and Service Delivery initiatives for Technology Infrastructure. In other words, lead and deliver complex infrastructure and operational projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of agreed scope and quality
  • Manage initiatives such as desktop and datacenter coordination, user, desktop, and equipment moves, and operating system deployments
  • Gather and validate requirements, define project scope, build test cases, and drive risk management and mitigation efforts
  • Ensure solutions align with the firm's technology strategy, escalating risks, issues, or changes proactively
  • Produce and maintain all required project management deliverables, artifacts, and reporting in line with program guidelines
  • Interface and coordinate with engineering, operations, and a wide range of stakeholders and SMEs
  • Manage financials tied to projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking purchases
  • Provide comprehensive reporting on Project and Initiatives to different levels of management.
  • Package and submit funding for initiatives. Manage and report financial status of funded projects under purview.
  • Identifying Technology Infrastructure Service gaps, risks, inefficiency and build sponsorship and accountability to remediate the aforementioned.
  • Providing support for scheduled and unscheduled External and Internal Audit exercises associated with Technology Infrastructure projects under management.
  • Providing management and coordination activities for addressing identified Operational, Regulatory and Cyber Security gaps for Technology services.
  • Provide clear, consolidated reports and executive-level presentations to stakeholders and senior management
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience managing and successfully delivering complex technical or infrastructure projects
  • Banking and Investment Industry experience.
  • Broad technology knowledge and leadership (existing systems and new technologies)
  • Expertise in managing desktop and datacenter activities, including user/equipment moves and migrations (e.g., Windows OS, Office Suite, shared IT services)
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects across technology infrastructure
  • Process knowledge (ITIL/scheduling/budgeting/risk management)
  • Project Management certification or relevant skillset
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written), with the ability to prepare concise management-level reports and presentations
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with all levels of the organization
  • Financial management experience across project budgets, CAPEX, TCO, and benefits tracking
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field

Preferred:
  • Understanding of COBIT principles and best practices for Data Security.
  • Experience maintaining currency in technology software/firmware
