Profitable, well-established manufacturer is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to oversee multiple facets of the company's engineering team. Daily you will oversee a team of established direct and indirect reports and oversee the strategic management and improvement of product design, R&D, packaging and production engineering. You will report the the President and will have the following responsibilities:


  • Strategic Planning & Oversight: Collaborating with senior leadership to define and implement short and long-term company objectives, ensuring engineering efforts align with the company's overall vision. You'll oversee all engineering functions, from design and packaging to product administration, and develop policies to maximize efficiency.
  • Product Development & Implementation: Directing the design, development, and integration of new products and technologies, always considering manufacturability and product lifecycle. You'll also ensure the reliability of engineering systems, overseeing new installations and recommending cutting-edge advancements.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Providing strong leadership to the engineering team through clear goal setting and delegation. You'll be instrumental in mentoring, training, and evaluating engineering personnel to enhance their skills and performance, fostering a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Building and maintaining robust professional relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners. You'll coordinate engineering efforts with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and represent the company positively.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensuring all engineering personnel adhere to established safety regulations and best practices. This includes developing safety training programs for engineering staff, conducting regular inspections, and maintaining accurate compliance documentation.


This Sr. Engineering Manager is required to be on site Monday-Friday; there is no remote work available for this position. Qualified candidates should exemplify a servant based leadership style while being able to hold others accountable, coach and mentor direct and indirect reports to meet their goals, and be able to successfully communicate at all levels. Requirements for the Sr. Engineering Manager:

1. A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; Mechanical Engineering highly preferred

2. At least three years of similar engineering management experience

3. Experience working in industrial equipment manufacturing environments

4. Extensive background in mechanical design engineering

5. Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports

6. Product development experience

7. ERP experience

8. Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook


Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:

1. PE (Professional Engineering) Certificate

2. MBA

3. Budget experience

4. Solid Edge experience
