3Core Systems is looking for Spectrum Engineer for one of our clients in Miramar, FL & Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Role: Spectrum Engineer
Location: Miramar, FL & Dallas, TX (Hybrid) (Miramar is preference 1 and Dallas is preference 2)
Duration: ~6 months, temp to hire

  1. Analyzing Spectrum Wireless/Cellular
  2. Troubleshooting and fixing wireless issues
  3. CCNA Wireless certs (even expired could be ok)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct active wireless site surveys using tools like Ekahau.
  • Analyze and adjust Wi-Fi and cellular coverage (e.g., access point power, antenna placement).
  • Use tools such as Wireshark and Cisco Prime/TACACS for backend network analysis and configuration.
  • Support and configure Cisco and Aruba wireless environments.
  • Work with Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) and understand QoS (Quality of Service) for wireless.
  • Prepare and present findings using PowerPoint and communicate clearly with leadership.
  • 60% support (operational), 40% project work (e.g., warehouse technology migrations).

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 3 4+ years of hands-on wireless engineering experience.
  • Strong background in Wi-Fi connectivity, especially in high-demand warehouse environments.
  • Experience with Cisco and Aruba wireless infrastructure.
  • Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP Wireless are preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, customer-focused attitude.

On-Call Expectations:

  • On-call rotation is every 10 weeks (24/7 coverage for one week).
  • During this time, candidates may support broader networking issues beyond just Wi-Fi/cellular.
