FreeBSD, PHP, C/C++
We have developed an SDN Controller based upon OpenFlow for the Industrial Space. It s the only one of its kind and is gaining momentum and we re growing the customer base rapidly. I need to start building out that development team. I have UI devs taken care of, part of the way to the staffing I m after for middleware developers and need to add 1-2 more folks for lower-level network interfacing side of the product. That s not to say that a person is pigeonholed into just low-level network development, but I need more in that area.
As switching asics become more cost-effective that support P4 (for the manufacturing sized switches) we ll begin adding that technology to the controller.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain low-level networking components for the SDN Controller.
- Work with OpenFlow protocol to manage and control network traffic.
- Collaborate with middleware and UI teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Contribute to future integration of P4 support as hardware evolves.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong experience with OpenFlow or similar SDN protocols.
- Proficiency in FreeBSD, C/C++, and or PHP.
- Solid understanding of network protocols and systems programming.
- Experience with low-level network development and interfacing.
Nice-to-Have:
- Familiarity with P4 programming language.
- Experience in industrial or embedded systems environments.
- Exposure to SDN controller architecture and design.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years of relevant development experience.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across teams.
