Job Details

Job Title: Senior QA Test Analyst
Location: Richmond, VA, Hybrid 2 3 Days/Week
Duration: 12 Months,

Both Web Cam and In Person Interview

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and frameworks in Agile environments.

  • Perform manual and automated testing using industry-standard tools.

  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including UAT script preparation and user coordination.

  • Develop test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts; conduct walkthroughs and obtain customer sign-off.

  • Write and execute complex SQL queries for test data creation and maintenance.

  • Perform smoke testing, dry runs, and execution of automation scripts.

  • Log, track, and verify defects; perform root cause analysis and support developers in defect recreation.

  • Apply risk-based testing methodologies.

  • Review testing metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements, identify gaps, and provide Level of Effort (LOE) estimates.

  • Work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across business and IT teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

  • ISEB / ISTQB Practitioner level certification or equivalent experience.

  • Strong experience in Agile testing methodologies and frameworks.

  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, TFS, Git, and extensive use of Gherkin for test case writing.

  • Advanced experience writing complex SQL queries for automation and business testing support.

  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and XML.

  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language: Java, Python, or Ruby.

  • Experience working in Windows and Linux environments.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
