JOB DESCRIPTION
The Test Automation Engineer is responsible for evolving and developing the current automation framework to continually improve the quality of our software products and client solutions. This person will be a crucial contributor to the SQA Automation team. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to handle multiple projects with competing priorities and to work collaboratively in a team environment. This position reports to the TPVI SQA supervisor.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Create and run automated functional tests for the frontend and backend of our software applications, web services, and integrations.
  • Work with product owners to prioritize testing development backlogs and new requests.
  • Diagnose and report issues based on test failures.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Utilize Playwright to expand the current framework and ensure adequate test coverage.
  • Execute test scripts, including setting up the test environment and verifying test results.
  • Maintain and update test scripts and test cases for systems.
  • Perform SQL queries for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Work independently and communicate with various teams in the office and remotely.
You Must Have:
  • A bachelor s degree or relevant experience in a related area.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies.
  • Experience with automation testing applications such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, etc.
  • Familiarity with the Page Object model and other automation frameworks.
  • Experience in test development in web-based and API automation roles.
  • Demonstrable ability to write code in at least one scripting language (Typescript, JavaScript, Python).
  • Experience with version control and issue tracking tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form.
  • Ability to translate system requirements into tests utilizing internal personnel, external customer, and product specs.
  • Ability to collect necessary information and listen to others to make decisions regarding testing.
  • High degree of self-motivation, commitment, and integrity.
We Would Also Prefer:
  • Knowledge of Agile testing methodology, practices, and procedures.
  • 2+ years prior software quality assurance experience conducting GUI, Database, API, and backend testing.
  • Experience in automated test development in web-based and API environments.
  • Detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to diagnose and report issues based on test failures.
