This will include, but not limited to, installation and relocating of equipment, installing cabling (Coax, Ethernet, and fiber optics), supporting engineering lab equipment, maintenance of Linux hosts and network connected devices, and any other support activities required to support engineering

*Completed advanced degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year (Master's = one year) of work experience.

$34.19 - $51.29
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. General Summary:

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities as defined by management to support engineering
- Performing software and hardware upgrades
- Installation of coax, Ethernet, and fiber optics cabling
- Building racks and installing equipment following rack elevation and wiring diagrams
- Able to work in priority order as defined by management and project leads
- Assist with lab moves as well as cleaning and organization efforts
Required Competencies:
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows
- Ability to following instructions and published documentation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong customer service skills and time management
- Ability to collaborate and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong debug skills
- A willingness to learn and be flexible with daily job assignments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP including DNS and DHCP
- Strong understanding of Linux OS systems
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as python or perl
- Formal electronics education via military or trade school
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform repetitive actions such as going up and down a ladder or running cable over head
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs over short distances
