Role: Lead Full Stack Engineer
Location: Bethesda, MD (Onsite 5 days/week)
Duration: 6+ months contract

Job Description:
We're seeking a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to join our client's Digital Technology team in Bethesda, MD. You'll lead the design, development, and support of scalable, cloud-native web and mobile applications, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain modular frontend (React/React Native) and backend (Go) applications.
  • Lead shared component library development for scalable and consistent UI.
  • Mentor developers at all levels, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure test coverage, and manage deployment across environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues; participate in on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to balance technical debt and new feature delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of hands-on software development using JavaScript (ES6), HTML5, CSS3.
  • 4+ years with React/React Native (functional components, hooks).
  • 3+ years of backend development using Go (or similar statically typed languages).
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, SSR, Redux, TypeScript, and NoSQL databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to clean code, documentation, and modern development best practices.
