Systems Engineer Advisor

HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Design, implement and maintain scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructure on AWS EKS
  • Develop and deploy containerized application using Kubernetes
  • Configure and manage Grafana for monitoring and visualization of application performance
  • Implement and manage message queues using Amazon SQS
  • Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
  • Experience: 8+ years in DevOps or a related discipline
  • Technical skills:
  • Experience in Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and containerization
  • Strong experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with Grafana and monitoring tools
  • Proficiency in AWS services including SQS, S3, and EC2
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (Jenkins, GitLab, CI/CD, etc,)
  • Strong understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Excellent collaborative technical team member
  • Security clearance level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Location: Herndon, VA

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
