Our client is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist II to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in providing expert project control services to ensure the effective execution and delivery of project objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of projects, requiring a robust understanding of project estimating, costing, forecasting, and reporting. This position is based in the Houston Galleria area, offering a hybrid work schedule, with a requirement to be on-site at least four days per week.

Responsibilities:
- Independently manage project controls tasks across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and project requirements.
- Develop detailed project estimates and oversee the project budgeting and costing processes.
- Implement robust project forecasting techniques to accurately predict project financials and timelines.
- Generate comprehensive project reports and analytics to provide insights into project performance and risk management.
- Facilitate a structured Change Management process to accommodate project adjustments and ensure seamless communication across project teams.
- Support project managers and team members with project setup and alignment of project controls processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project controls practices, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business, Construction Science, or Engineering.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a project controls environment, preferably within the energy sector.
- Proficient in project management tools, with a preference for experience in Microsoft P6.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple project portfolios effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex project control issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with multiple project teams.
- Understanding of scheduling processes and techniques is preferred.
- Availability to work on-site in Houston Galleria area for at least four days per week.
- Commitment to professional growth and development within the field of project controls.
