Electrical Engineer

Job Description:
This position is a mix of analysis of existing layouts and then build, test and modify prototypes using working models or comp simulated models. They need someone who is comfortable performing test/verification of circuits/modules/systems, but can also step in and help with design/development as needed. These are a mix of DSP and optical systems used in both Mil and Commercial applications.

The role initially would be for analysis (derating), component selections and EOLs, but also new design schematic checking/review, and new schematic circuit creation. Likely they would work to support a lead, while there is an opportunity for the individual to lead a design variant such as moderate respin.

Skills:

  • Digital Hardware design and checking-they use several chips/processors: Intel, Xilinx, NVIDIA, TI, etc.
  • Experience in the design and verification/checking of high speed digital interfaces: Ethernet, PCIe, DDR SDRAM, etc
  • Experience w/DC/DC power, Clocking, JTAG, SPI, I2C, UARTs
  • Schematic Design (Cadence Allegro/DEHDL) and the ability to read/check CAD layouts and make design changes
  • Experience using lab tools: O-scope, Multimeters
  • BOM creation
  • JAMA/DOORS exp for requirements management
  • JIRA/Confluence for collab
  • Experience with Intel CPU architecture (Xeon-D, Cascade Lake, Sapphire Rapids) would be ideal
