Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

Location: Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico

Contract Type: Long-term Contract
Pay Rate: $20-$27/hr (based on experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to join our team at a Collins Aerospace facility in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. This is a long-term contract opportunity to support a critical aerospace manufacturing site. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of IT support experience and a strong desire to grow in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier I/II technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely, and via phone.
  • Support Windows 10/11 operating systems and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Assist with imaging, deployment, and configuration of end-user devices.
  • Maintain and update Active Directory user accounts and permissions.
  • Set up and support network connectivity, VPN access, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Document support activities, asset inventory, and ticket resolutions.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to support site-wide technology initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in desktop or IT support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and basic networking.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, printers).
  • Familiarity with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, RDP).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, VPNs, and imaging tools.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Resumen del Puesto:

Estamos en bsqueda de un Tcnico de Soporte de Escritorio motivado y orientado al servicio al cliente para unirse a nuestro equipo en una instalacin de Collins Aerospace ubicada en Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. Esta es una oportunidad de contrato a largo plazo para brindar soporte tcnico en un entorno de manufactura aeroespacial. El candidato ideal debe contar con al menos 1 ao de experiencia en soporte tcnico y estar interesado en desarrollarse en un entorno empresarial dinmico.

Responsabilidades Principales:

  • Brindar soporte tcnico de Nivel I/II para computadoras de escritorio, laptops, impresoras y dispositivos mviles.
  • Diagnosticar y resolver problemas de hardware y software de forma presencial, remota o telefnica.
  • Dar soporte a sistemas operativos Windows 10/11 y aplicaciones de Microsoft Office 365.
  • Asistir en la instalacin, configuracin e implementacin de dispositivos para usuarios finales.
  • Administrar cuentas de usuario en Active Directory, incluyendo creacin, restablecimiento de contraseas y permisos.
  • Configurar y brindar soporte a conexiones de red, acceso VPN y resolucin bsica de problemas de conectividad.
  • Documentar actividades de soporte, inventario de equipos y resolucin de incidencias.
  • Colaborar con el equipo de TI para apoyar iniciativas tecnolgicas a nivel de sitio.

Requisitos Mnimos:

  • Mnimo 1 ao de experiencia en soporte tcnico o de escritorio.
  • Conocimiento slido de sistemas Windows, Office 365 y redes bsicas.
  • Experiencia en diagnstico y reparacin de hardware (PCs, laptops, impresoras).
  • Familiaridad con herramientas de soporte remoto (ej. TeamViewer, Escritorio Remoto).
  • Excelentes habilidades de comunicacin y servicio al cliente.
  • Capacidad para trabajar de forma independiente y gestionar el tiempo eficientemente.

Requisitos Deseables:

  • Experiencia previa en entornos de manufactura o industriales.
  • Conocimiento de Active Directory, VPNs y herramientas de imagen de sistemas.
  • Bilinge (ingls/espaol).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
