Job Details

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking Cyber Security Engineers at multiple experience-levels to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, Maryland area. You will provide technical leadership combined with an operational understanding of cybersecurity to protect U.S. National and Defense critical infrastructure and information systems against sophisticated adversaries, create mission effects in and through cyberspace, and develop innovative cyber capabilities. These positions require an active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph .

Responsibilities:

As a Cyber Security Engineer with MTSI you will contribute to the defense of U.S. National and Defense critical infrastructure and information systems against sophisticated adversaries by providing engineering and technical leadership combined with an operational understanding of cybersecurity. This position will be in or near Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

Your essential job functions will include but will not be limited to:
  • You will provide cybersecurity engineering support to assigned project team(s).
  • Perform engineering activities to attain cyber mission effects.
  • Develop technical specifications for cyber mission capabilities.
  • Develop and/or employ cybersecurity tools used within DoD architectures.
  • Perform security assessments and develop vulnerability remediation options.
  • Synthesize intelligence products and scan results to prepare reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies.
  • Support innovation and digital transformation initiatives across MTSI.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of work experience in computer network operations or cybersecurity/information assurance, or a combination of 5+ recent years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teaming abilities.
Qualifications Desired:
  • Intelligence Community, U.S. Cyber Command, and/or U.S. military experience.
  • DoD 8140/DoD 8570 IAM or IAT Level II Certification.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages.
  • Familiarity with exploits for at least 2 of the following:
    • Windows.
    • Linux.
    • Embedded Devices.
    • Android.
    • iOS.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter, able to take initiative and accomplish work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of related experience; or bachelor's degree in an applicable field with 5+ years of related experience.
Certifications Requirements:
  • DoD 8140/DoD 8570 IAM or IAT Level II Certification (Desired)
Clearance Requirements:
  • TS/SCI clearance and CI Polygraph with eligibility for Full Scope Polygraph.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
