RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Materials Manager in Westborough, MA.
Summary:
At the core of the Materials Manager's responsibilities is driving inventory optimization and accuracy across the organization. The Materials Manager is focused on executing effective cycle count programs, investigating inventory discrepancies, and fine-tuning inventory levels to meet customer demand. This includes leveraging advanced data analytics to uncover optimization opportunities and then collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
Core Responsibilities:
* Ensure inventory accuracy across assigned program by implementing inventory controls and replenishment processes
* Develop and execute effective cycle count programs to maintain inventory accuracy
* Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
* Analyze inventory data, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend solutions to improve turns, reduce waste, and enhance the customer experience
* Partner with engineering teams on configuration management, including maintaining accurate master data, creating and updating bills of materials (BOMs), and managing engineering change orders
* Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to align on inventory goals and drive initiatives to achieve them
* Design and deploy streamlined inventory management workflows, leveraging system automation where possible
* Create and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures for inventory-related activities
* Support the implementation of inventory management system upgrades and enhancements
* Contribute to cross-functional projects related to engineering changes, master data management, and supply chain improvements
* Provide analytical reports and actionable insights to senior leadership
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
* 3+ years of experience in inventory management, manufacturing, or supply chain
* Inventory Planning experience
* Lean Manufacturing experience
* Expertise in inventory planning, forecasting, replenishment, and optimization
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and process improvement skills
* Proficient in supply chain management tools and technologies
* Proficient in SQL and data visualization to drive key insights (Tableau, Power BI)
Preferred Qualifications:
* APICS certification CPIM or CSCP
* 5+ years of experience in inventory management, manufacturing, or supply chain
* Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement methodologies
* Experience with SAP S4/HANA and Oracle EBS
* Strong background in change management and driving system automation
* Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects
* Master's degree in supply chain management or business administration
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
