Product Owners are responsible for defining requirements, assisting with the overall product roadmap /vision, and driving value at the scrum team level. Product Owners work closely with teams and are the "voice of the customer", ensuring the needs of the end-user are incorporated into the product from design to deployment. Product owners are responsible for the authoring of functional user stories which are used to support the day to day development of new features and capabilities.
The QE and Test Automation Product Owner works with key stakeholders to translate quality assurance strategy and test automation needs into a detailed, prioritized backlog of user stories. This role serves as the bridge between a diverse business unit and the central QE and Test Automation team, ensuring that quality initiatives align with organizational goals. This position will be responsible for managing the team's backlog, facilitating daily standups, and collaborating with the team to implement, measure, and learn from the quality improvements they have delivered.

ROLE
Creates an environment where all QE and Test Automation team members feel valued and empowered.
Manages shifting priorities through a prioritized backlog to ensure the team is focused on work that provides maximum value to quality assurance initiatives, and is aligned with the test automation strategy.
Ensures teams meet their sprint commitments so QA tooling and automation deliverables are implemented on time.
Breaks down complex testing challenges into small, manageable stories that provide value to multiple stakeholders across the enterprise.
Writes detailed acceptance criteria that QE Engineers and Test Automation engineers can rely upon to complete their tasks effectively.
Leads Scrum sprint planning, provides sprint goals for test automation initiatives, gives feedback during the sprint review, drives information and learning in the daily scrum, and facilitates continuous improvement during sprint retrospectives.
Ensures the QA and test automation strategy aligns with the quality objectives of the organization.
Analyzes potential integration opportunities between testing tools and enterprise systems.
Watches industry trends in testing and automation to ensure the organization is keeping up with best practices and identifying new testing capabilities that would benefit users.
Interacts professionally with a diverse group: executives, managers, developers, and quality assurance professionals across multiple business units.
Develops scope, objectives and milestones for QA tooling and automation initiatives, involving all relevant stakeholders from different teams and ensuring technical feasibility.
Works with program manager to communicate project statuses while successfully identifying, addressing, and escalating potential quality risks or testing challenges.
Identifies, tracks and manages risks to quality and test coverage, and escalates when necessary.
Organizes sprint and milestone demonstrations of new testing capabilities with stakeholders while providing guidance to the QE and test automation teams.
Manages dependencies between testing initiatives and development teams to prevent impediments, and fosters collaboration across the enterprise.
Collaborates with Product Managers to support the prioritization of feature enablers defined by architects within the product roadmap.
Creates and authors user stories with detailed acceptance criteria written in the customers' voice.
Collaborates with the team to prepare the estimates for the user stories within the product backlog.
REQUIRED
5 years' experience working in agile teams.
3 years' experience in QA and test automation environments.
1 years' Agile Product Owner experience.
Agile Product Owner Certification.
Experience with ADO and ServiceNow.
Experience working with remote teams.
Experience working in a DevOps environment.
