Job Details

Blu Omega is seeking a skilled and experienced Network Operations Engineer to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. This role involves managing and maintaining a DoD client's enterprise network infrastructure, specializing in Cisco SD-WAN and Palo Alto firewalls to guarantee high availability, performance, and security.

This role is located in Norfolk, Virginia. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site 5 days a week and must hold a current DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have 5+ years of relevant, Systems Engineering experience in performing system issue analysis, risk management, system troubleshooting, and system documentation.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and industry standards like NIST SP 800-82 Rev. A, ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Controls, or DoD 8500.01.
  • Experience in network support and network administration.
  • Proficiency in designing, deploying, and managing Cisco SD-WAN solutions.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Understanding of network protocols, services, and security (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN).
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime).
  • Familiar with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM systems, and vulnerability scanners i.e. Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Certifications include:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
  • CompTIA Security+

Salary Range: $75,000 - $115,000

final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
