Role: Anaplan Tester
Location: San Ramon, CA (Onsite)
Duration: Long-term

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans for Anaplan models, dashboards, and integrations, covering functional to user acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate closely with Anaplan model builders and business users to translate requirements into robust test scenarios.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) to ensure timely resolution.
  • Validate data integrity within Anaplan models, performing necessary reconciliation.
  • Automate testing processes where feasible using Anaplan Connect, APIs, or scripting tools.
  • Contribute to sprint planning and continuously improve testing methodologies.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and maintain thorough testing documentation.
  • Stay current with Anaplan features and best practices.
  • 2+ years of software testing experience, with a strong focus on Anaplan.
  • Proven expertise with the Anaplan platform, including models, modules, formulas, dashboards, and security.
  • Strong understanding of data integration concepts and experience testing Anaplan integrations (e.g., Anaplan Connect, APIs).
  • Familiarity with various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
  • SQL proficiency for data validation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent.

Nice to have:

  • Anaplan Certified Model Builder or Solution Architect.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) concepts.
  • Experience with other EPM/CPM tools (e.g., Adaptive Planning, OneStream).
