Location: Ashburn, VA
Salary: $25.00 USD Hourly - $27.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Network Technician II to work on a 4 x 10 schedule out of Ashburn, VA on W2.
Shift is 4X10 - Hours are 10am-9pm with a 1 hour lunch.
Contractor for this position will provide 24 hour support of the national data center and carrier neutral facility. Work will include rack/stack/cable and Tier 1 support of all data center assets.
Description:
Seasoned Operations technician will need to work independently with minimal supervision in support of Tier 1 Break-fix, network connectivity and Critical Infrastructure/Facilities. Support device deployments, refreshes, decommissions and network migrations.
Must be an effective communicator, both written and orally. Ability to discuss designs concerning power, cooling, cabling and networking issues with network users, administrators, consultants, architects and electrical engineers and make recommendations and set forth design proposals based on current and future requirements.
Effective leadership skills to resolve conflicts and retain high morale amongst internal team as well as vendor teams.
Ability and willingness to adapt and accept change with strong decision-making skills to complete project successfully.
Strong team working skills; Develop and maintain excellent self-leadership skills including proactive, customer service oriented working relationships with all appropriate levels inside and outside the company.
Personal qualities to include integrity, respect for others, personal responsibility, and a passion to approach all aspects of the job with enthusiasm.
