Position Summary:
Step into a pivotal role as a Windows Systems Administrator, where you'll lead the administration of enterprise-grade Microsoft infrastructure while driving performance, reliability, and automation across mission-critical systems. Position Summary:
Step into a pivotal role as a Windows Systems Administrator, where you'll lead the administration of enterprise-grade Microsoft infrastructure while driving performance, reliability, and automation across mission-critical systems. You'll collaborate with IT Security to uphold compliance, mentor junior staff, and engineer innovative solutions that elevate operational excellence. As part of this dynamic team, this individual will support a next-generation, cutting-edge product environment, spanning a diverse array of technologies and devices in development.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and support on-premises Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 with DAG redundancy and related messaging applications
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server environments
- Collaborate with IT Security to ensure compliance and secure infrastructure operations
- Perform system updates via SCCM and tune OS performance for reliability
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize server infrastructure, including capacity and performance
- Provide Level II & III on-call support for infrastructure issues and outages
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to cross-training initiatives
- Develop, test, and implement engineering solutions with proper documentation
- Maintain accurate system configuration records and coordinate with vendors for support
- Recommend and implement automation strategies and innovative system enhancements
- Support new system implementations and feature evaluations
- Generate monthly infrastructure performance and operational metrics
Requirements
- 2+ years working experience as Microsoft Exchange System Administrator
- 2+ years working experience as a Windows System Administrator
- Experience with SCCM,MCP, MTA, MCSA, MCSE or similar certification is a plus
- 2+ years Working knowledge of Windows Server, Desktop, and Active Directory Administration
- 2+ years Working knowledge of VMware ESX, VCenter, and Virtual environments
- Experience scripting using PowerShell, VB, Perl, or Python
- Experience documenting complex environments
- Experience with project management, vendor management, and policy development
- Ability to work in a small team environment
- Must be eligible to work in the US for any employer without restrictions
- Must be willing and able to work onsite in San Jose, CA
- High School Diploma is required; Bachelor's Degree in relevant field is preferred.
