Job title: Cisco Data Centre Migration

Job Location: San Jose/Santa Clara

Job Type: Contract

Must Have: CCIE DC certified (Theory and Practical s) + ACI skills.

Project Scope & Deliverables:

- Build and maintain ACI Fabric network In Cisco s new DC Co-Location Facility

- Work in conjunction with Compute & Storage team to turn up their devices into the ACI Fabric

- Understand and deliver application migration workloads from sources into the co-location DC facilities ACI fabric network.

- Through distributed cases, support the maintenance and solution delivery of the ACI Fabric network

- Understand and implement WAN technologies to implement and maintain the ACI Fabric network to the rest of the Cisco internal network and beyond

- Maintain Cisco FTD FW technology devices and routing for DMZ and Internal application

- Configure and maintain A10 Load Balancing configurations for applications

- Work within team structure proactively providing timely task progress update communications and execution of work

Prerequisites:

• Thorough knowledge of Cisco ACI Fabric network
• Whatever knowledge to deploy port turn ups configuring ACI application profiles, networking policy and access policy for new host connectivity
• NXOS/IOS knowledge for OOB + Cisco tools like NDFC
• Application migration experience
• LB experience

DC Skill Sets

• ACI fabric network configuration knowledge - Understanding of ACI components: APICSs spines, leaves, faults, GUI, CLI, fabric discovery, etc.
• NXOS and IOS configuration experience
• NDFC platform experience is a plus
• Basic understanding of Storage NAS/SAN to turn up network access in ACI
• Basic understanding of Compute Esi/UCS to turn up network access in ACI
• FTD FW configuration preferred

• Comprehensive troubleshooting skills

ACI Fabric Network Infra build

• Configure and build ACI Fabric infrastructure - configuration and troubleshooting knowledge of ACI features and Technologies: access policies, VPC, EPGs, BDs, L3outs, multi-pod, routing/switching, networking protocols (VXLAN, BGP, STP, OSPF)
• Expand access leaf s builds to support Compute and Storage network access
• Build and configure NXOS and IOS Out of Band network to provide console and management access

Application workload Migrations

• Migration of application from legacy L3 architecture to ACI Fabric network
• Learn and understand applications and their migrations needs and process
• Build migration solutions

• Support the move from one datacenter to new co-location datacenter

Key Skills required:

• Experience on managing/maintaining large/complex Cisco ACI fabric deployments
• Deep working knowledge on Cisco ACI networking and Application micro security policy managements
• Building, Operating, and managing large and complex ACI fabric with knowledge of VMWare, Nutanix and OpenStack integrations
• Knowledge on different ACI fabric deployment models, Standalone , Stretched , Multi-POD and Multi-Site fabrics,
• Understanding of Overlay and Underlay network technologies used in Data Center networks
• Knowledge of Hypervisor network components (SVS, DVS, OVS, AHV, etc.) and it s interactions with physical DC network infrastructure
• Experience with Data Center network segmentations using Cisco FTD firewall technologies, application micro-segmentation exposures, multi-segment policy management
• Experience with Cisco Nexus Dashboard (ND/NDFC) for building and troubleshooting Data Center Networks
• Experience with VXLAN based networks deployment and troubleshooting
• Experience with configuring/managing/maintaining MACSEC enabled network interconnects
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting QoS for RoCEv2
• Experience with OSPF/BGP routing
• Experience with L2/L3 Fabrics
• Familiarity with Linux, VMWare, Nutanix, OpenStack networking
• Experience with configure, manage/maintain Network Load balancing technologies like A10, Citrix

Deeper working experience with following Cisco products:

• Cisco ACI/APIC (large deployments with IPN interconnects)
• Cisco Nexus switches (different switch models, modular, fixed, entry level to high-end models, 10Gb to 800Gb support)
• Cisco Nexus Dashboard clusters (ND/NDFC)
• Cisco Firepower / ASA/ FTD / FMC (entry level to high-end FW devices)
• Cisco Catalyst switches (IOS-XE, IOS-XR)
• A10 Thunder ADC appliances (3rd party product)
