Lead Security Technician

Experience Level: Expert
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Security Technician to oversee daily operations, coordinate with managers, and ensure successful completion of commercial security system installations. This role involves leadership, technical expertise, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assign daily tasks to technicians and submit detailed reports.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and field teams for scheduling and documentation.
  • Pre-wire and install security systems, including Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarms.
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain security systems at customer sites.
  • Provide system operation training to customers.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Maintain accurate daily records and adhere to operational standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with commercial installations (hospitals, airports, corporate offices).
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform system programming.
  • Experience leading a team of technicians.
  • Texas Alarm Install License (active).
  • Reliable transportation and basic hand tools.
  • PPE required: Hard hat with chin strap, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, safety vest.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, climb, walk, squat, crawl, and stoop.
  • Lift/move up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Use of power tools required.
  • Good vision (close, distance, depth perception).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr.
