We're seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Aviation team in our Lakewood, Colorado office. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile, nationally recognized aviation projects including international terminals, regional airports, aircraft hangars, flight training centers, and general aviation facilities.

As a key member of the team, you'll manage projects with budgets ranging from $10,000 to over $1 million, contributing technical expertise while overseeing design coordination, schedules, and client communications. The ideal candidate will bring strong structural design skills along with the ability to lead complex projects and foster collaboration across disciplines.

Job Details

** Lead and manage engineering and technical staff to ensure successful project delivery.
** Coordinate structural design efforts internally and with external consultants across disciplines.
** Develop, monitor, and manage detailed project work plans, schedules, and design budgets.
** Serve as the primary liaison with clients and contractors throughout all phases of design and construction.
** Establish and implement project-specific quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) plans.
** Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical support to junior staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
** Represent our firm in design and construction meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
** Play an active role in building and sustaining strong client relationships through responsive service and trusted partnership.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 8 years of progressive engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PR) or Professional Structural Engineer (SE)
  • Experience managing aviation facility projects - international terminal, regional airport, aircraft hangar, flight training center and general aviation facilities
