Application Support Engineer

M9 Solutions is seeking an Application Support Engineer to work remotely on a government contract for a client located in Arlington, VA.An active Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Create dashboards and set alerts to detect potential capacity issues.
• Run database queries to validate data.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Work Authorization: ship is required.
• An active Secret clearance is required.
• Knowledge of complete stack of technologies in Azure and Azure Gov, (App Insights, Logs and Auditing review, Monitoring and Alerts).
• Knowledge of how component technologies interact and troubleshoot.
• Knowledge of IADs, application functionality tied to back-end systems and jobs, how to react to and troubleshoot monitoring alerts.
• Ability to understand new applications and functional releases, distill knowledge to create knowledge articles and runbooks, and communicate with other IT teams during troubleshooting (Networking, Database, Storage, etc.).
• Familiarity with log aggregation technologies (IE Splunk) to look for trends.
• Knowledge of business processes, products, and services, within agreed areas of expertise and can provide input and advice to key stakeholders, such as Product.
• Ability to systematically break apart complex problems (written, verbal or numerical).
• Ability to analyze figures to solve a problem and to be analytical and systematic whilst being open-minded and creative.
• Ability to base decisions on facts rather than emotions, and always using logic.
• Knowledge and experience of administering Azure tenants, subscriptions, resource groups and shared technologies such as active directory, DNS, Azure Firewall, Azure Networking, Site to Site VPN, WAF Rules etc.
• Experience with Azure Cloud/Gov, Azure application insights, Azure audit logs, Azure monitoring configuration, Azure alerts setup, Azure active directory, Splunk analysis or equivalent, Kusto query language, ITIL, PowerShell/BASH, Office 365 Stack - IIS / SQL / Cosmos DB, and Power Platform.
