Network, Data Protection and Endpoint Security Consultant - NYC

Job title: Network, Data Protection and Endpoint Security Consultant Roles It's an urgent backfill.

Location: NYC, NY- Hybrid - 3 days/week, locals only

Duration: 6 months, room to extend

Skills Needed:

1) Excellent Communication - must be able to speak to technical concepts/answer technical questions posed by the client, also will be doing documentation so we need great written comms as well

2) Documentation & Networking

• IDS/IPS
• Firewall
• Segmentation
• Web filtering
• CISCO network access
• hardening/end point security
  • Antivirus, antimalware

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity with focus on network and data protection.
• Strong knowledge of the OSI model, layered network D fense, and endpoint protection technologies.
• Proven experience with IDS/IPS platforms, network segmentation, and security monitoring tools.
• Advanced knowledge of encryption technologies and cryptographic standards (SHA, AES, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and enterprise key management platforms.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS) and industry best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and in team settings.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, GIAC, or vendor-specific PKI/Encryption certifications) are highly desirable.
