The Position:
Client: Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (F&B)
Position Title: F&B Application Developer AD3 (776353)
Location: Hybrid; Remote Off-Site and On-Site in Harrisburg, PA
Duration: Initial term through 06/30/2026 (+ Annual Renewal in 1-Year Terms)
Note: This position will be hybrid; first two weeks on-site, then one day per week on-site. Candidates must currently reside within Pennsylvania (and remote work must be within Pennsylvania); within a reasonable commuting distance (2-hour/100-miles) of Harrisburg, PA. This position requires an in-depth background check, including fingerprinting and requires successful results.
The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is seeking an Application Developer to assist other developers with upgrading the Resource First Portal (RFP) system code to meet WCAG Accessibility requirements. The RFP application was built with ASP.Net, C#.Net, .NET MVC and SQL Server. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and be able to function in both as an Individual and as part of a team. The successful applicant must be capable of meeting or exceeding challenging deadlines while performing daily duties that will include;
- Analysis, design, coding, and testing of application code.
- Application troubleshooting and bug fixes.
- Upgrade existing applications to WCAG accessible applications
- Convert Monolithic applications to Microservices applications
- Record, Verifying, Log and Document testing results.
- Maintain versioning and source control with TFS.
- Develop applications in Angular Framework
- Document and present recommendations for issue/risk remediation to team leads and managers.
The Skills and Experience:
- 3+ Years: Microsoft .Net Framework with MVC
- 3+ Years: SQL Server 2016 or higher
- 1+ Years: SSRS
- 1+ Years: Microsoft TFS or similar tool
- 1+ Years: Angular Framework
- 1+ Years: Microservices
- 1+ Years: ASP.NET
- 1+ Years: C#.NET
- 1+ Years: XML is desired
- 1+ Years: HTML is desired
- 1+ Years: SSIS is desired
- 1+ Years: GIS Mapping is desired
- 1+ Years: Entity Framework is desired
- 1+ Years: Telerik GUI Controls is desired
- 1+ Years: WCAG Accessibility Development is desired
