Duties: Collaborate with Product Management and business stakeholders to develop new features and software applications, as well as enhance the functionality and efficiencies of the existing applications. Work closely with fellow developers to share and build upon best practices, review logic, and new technologies. Utilize a number of different database systems, as well as business processes, to meet business software needs. Oversee production support, maintenance, and enhancements of applications supporting Mutual Fund Trading and Clearing business. Collaborate with the development teams and technology leaders across Schwab technology on product development, best practices, and automation. Assess and apply emerging technologies, practices, and processes and strategize and execute projects to improve efficiency and innovation. Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab's internal approach to workplace flexibility.

What you have

Job Duties: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 72 months of progressive, post-Bachelor's experience in a related occupation. Experience must include some experience in each of the following skills: Micro services using .Net technologies including C#, ASP.NET, Angular, SQL Server with OAuth or CSK3 or SAML for application security; Backend process using relational using MS SQL, and NoSQL using Aerospike database; Coding using SOLID principles, and designing GoF patterns in micro services and Cloud Native Architecture implementation; Real-time event based processing and messaging using IBM MQ, RabbitMQ and Kafka; Develop and adapt to Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM RAD (Rapid Application Development) and Extreme Programming; Develop CICD pipelines using JENKINS or Bamboo with Unit Test coverage, Linting, and Sonarqube; and, GitHub or BitBucket as source code repositories.
