IT Support Technician - Overnight ShiftOverview:Join a dynamic 24/7 technical support team providing frontline assistance in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for candidates with a degree or equivalent experience who are comfortable working overnight or second shifts and have a passion for solving technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to Help Desk requests via phone and email in a 24/7 support environment, including overnight coverage.
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software (computers, printers, scanners, projectors, etc.).
- Provide hands-on support for video conferencing systems and related hardware.
- Educate end-users on resolving hardware/software issues and provide remote or onsite assistance.
- Assist with installation, configuration, and usability of desktops, laptops, and peripherals in accordance with company standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and submit equipment requests to maintain adequate stock.
- Perform front desk duties including assisting walk-ins and logging equipment receipts.
- Evaluate software patches and applications to resolve desktop issues.
- Maintain accurate incident and request logs; escalate issues as needed.
- Diagnose and resolve network, equipment, or application-related problems.
- Set up new computers and ensure proper operation and software installation.
- Maintain and install printers and scanners.
- Communicate effectively with users, both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications:- Education:
- Associate's Degree in IT or related field plus 6 months of desktop support experience,
- OR
- High School Diploma/GED plus 2 years of IT-related work or military experience.
- Experience & Skills:
- 6+ months of experience with Microsoft Office products and desktop support.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, ServiceDesk).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to present technical information in user-friendly language.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Willingness to work overnight or second or third shift hours.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of La Crosse, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
