Job Details

The Senior Windchill System Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing PTC Windchill systems. This role supports Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives to ensure reliability, performance, and security across engineering and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, support, and administer PTC Windchill systems, including system upgrades and rehost/cloning activities.

  • Develop and maintain workflows, lifecycles, and vaulting replica configurations.

  • Provide business and system administration, including troubleshooting and user support.

  • Administer Windchill cluster environments and perform performance optimization.

  • Manage CAD, Bill of Materials (BOM), Change Management, and Windchill integrations with ERP, CRM, and MES.

  • Support Windchill modules such as ProjectLink, PartsLink, Quality Management, and Risk Management.

  • Work with integration of CAD systems (SolidWorks, CREO, AutoCAD, CATIA) into Windchill.

  • Participate in DevOps practices, supporting CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.

  • Maintain awareness of middleware and business application integration.

  • Collaborate on system documentation, procedures, and user training.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of Windchill system administration experience, including lead or senior roles.

  • Strong understanding of PLM concepts, PTC Windchill architecture, and system integrations.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Perl, JavaScript) and database management (Oracle, SQL Server).

  • Experience with Windows/Linux server environments.

  • Analytical, problem-solving, and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Windchill 12.x and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience with PTC Creo and other CAD tools.
