Job Role: BMC Helix Remedy Force / Tools Engineer

Location: O Fallon, Missouri

Mode of Hiring: Full Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced BMC Helix Remedy Force / Tools Engineer to administer and support enterprise IT monitoring, discovery, and configuration management platforms. The role involves troubleshooting connectivity issues, ensuring platform stability, improving system reliability, and driving automation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer BMC Discovery Software which serves the role of Configuration Management Inventory collection from nearly every type of IT Infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot Network Connectivity and/or Credential issues such as:
  1. SSH to Linux/Unix Platforms
  2. WMI Query and Powershell to Windows
  3. SNMP to Network Devices
  4. API Connections (for example Credential and Connection to Cloud Providers AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
  • Monitor and respond to system alerts and failures.
  • Develops plans to improve quality for each project that impacts the platform.
  • Ensures platform procedures are developed with best practices and standards and are well documented.
  • Helps to innovate on new methodologies to improve Business Operations.
  • Coaches junior level employees on Business Operations best practices.
  • Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services-from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
  • Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
  • Practice sustainable incident response and blameless post-mortems.
  • Take a holistic approach to problem solving, by connecting the dots during a production event thru the various technology stack that makes up the platform, to optimize mean time to recover
