The Reactor Engineer position is based out of our Clinton Clean Energy Center in Clinton, IL.

Expected salary range of $94,500 to $105,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for performing reactor engineering and technical tasks, under general supervision, in support of nuclear power plant operations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assure all engineering analysis & recommendations prepared are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Perform reactor engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying reactor engineering principles.
  • Support reactor engineering fleet initiatives and all reactor clean energy centers assigned.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of effective processes and techniques at appropriate levels of detail and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Must obtain Qualified Nuclear Engineering (QNE) within 24 months of assuming the position.
  • All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Emergency Response duties and/or coverage, Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) and 2 years of related experience (e.g. nuclear, science discipline)
  • Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
  • The requirements as outlined above meet or exceed ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.6.1) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current or previous QNE
  • Nuclear Engineering degree
  • Engineer in Training Certification
  • Productivity and Programming Software Experience
  • Prior reactor engineering experience
