Job Title: Structural Engineer

Position Overview:
Our customer requires specialized support to meet mission-critical needs related to ongoing and future construction at the Building Complex and other protected sites in the National Capital Region (NCR). As construction progresses, it is essential to ensure that protective equipment, materials, and infrastructure are fully integrated into these projects without disrupting operations.
Although this effort does not involve performing construction work, it requires close coordination with active construction activities to manage complex technical, logistical, and financial requirements, meet deadlines, and maintain operational readiness under strict security protocols. Personnel with backgrounds in construction management, infrastructure planning, and financial oversight will be critical to this effort.
This support will address both current and future requirements, ensuring continued alignment of protective measures with evolving facility needs. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, all personnel must hold an active Top Secret security clearance.
Required Experience:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary architecture/engineering/construction teams, third-party contractors, and other government agencies to advance the customer's protective mission.
- Utilize drawings, specifications, photographs, and other information to support projects to assess and improve site and building security.
- Review and provide comments on deliverables for analysis, design, and construction projects.
- Coordinate with program managers to develop, maintain, and update the program's strategy, budgeting, scheduling, and planning documents, as well as documentation of meetings and past activities.
- Engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, third-part contractors, and other government agencies to plan and execute design and construction projects.
- Coordinate with program managers to develop Scopes of Work (SOWs) and prepare contract packages for future acquisitions.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Over five (5) years of experience providing program or project management support and/or roles in the construction industry.
- Ability to take ownership of responsibilities, work independently, and develop solutions to problems.
- Experience with blast effect modeling tools, e.g., VAPO, 3d Blast, Urban Blast Tool, Extreme Loading for Structures (ELS).
- Experience with reviewing and understanding construction drawings, construction specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience working on large construction projects and interfacing with contractors, subcontractors, design team members, and owner's representatives.
