RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Database Analyst in San Antonio, TX.
Summary:
Under minimal supervision, this person will analyze enterprise database schemas and develop SQL data extracts. The Database Analyst will design and implement ETL/ELT processes to migrate data from external systems. The candidate will also support internal teams with advanced data queries and assist in software conversions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop tools to extract and integrate data into PostgreSQL-based systems
* Create and maintain SQL extracts and conversion scripts
* Troubleshoot data migration issues and support implementation
* Collaborate with stakeholders to assess needs and plan migrations
* Maintain data integrity and security standards
* Provide guidance to peer organizations on best practices and timelines
* Update processes to reflect schema or regulatory changes

* Stay current with industry standards and regulations
* Align work with organizational goals and values
* Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
* Travel as needed and maintain reliable attendance
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
* 3-5 years of experience with business or student information systems
* 3-5 years of SQL experience (PostgreSQL preferred)
* Experience with ETL/ELT, scripting (PowerShell, Python), and ODBC
* Familiarity with Ed-Fi, OneRoster, and various data formats (.csv, .txt, XML, JSON)
* Experience with remote support and ticketing systems
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard desktop tools
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
