Duration: Direct-Hire / Contract (C2C/W2)
Job Description:
- Okta Implementation Specialist Role Requirements New role focused on basic Okta implementations, including administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and providing technical expertise; proactive problem-solving, evaluating new technologies, and maintaining detailed documentation. Certification, Workflows, Troubleshooting, documentation, and the need for the role to contribute to the team's growth by supporting junior members
- Role Workflow Requirements Candidate with at least 10 years of experience, Okta certification, and expertise in single sign-on (SSO) integrations and workflow development; workflow creation for efficiency, making this a critical skill for the position.
- Identity Governance and API Integration Identity governance in Okta and emphasized the need for candidates to have a minimum of 2 years of experience with the product.
- Role Requirements/Prioritization Key requirements for a role, including troubleshooting, application integration, workflows, onsite location, and certification.
Role/Job Duties
- Implementation of Okta integrations (SAML, OIDC, etc); Okta Administration and Configuration
- Troubleshooting and providing ongoing support and troubleshooting for Okta IAM solutions with application owners and end users
- Providing technical expertise and guidance on Okta best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2)
- Configure advanced policies for SSO, MFA, contextual access, and risk-based authentication
- Monitor system health, resolve issues, and optimize Okta performance and reliability
- Evaluate new IAM technologies to enhance the Okta ecosystem and improve security posture
- Developing and maintaining documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures
- Perform feasibility analyses and provide recommendations for future system enhancements
- Guide and mentor junior engineers on Okta implementation, IAM best practices, and secure design principles
- Okta Certification: Professional, Administrator, Consultant or Technical Architect
- Work may include the occasional after-hours and/or weekend work based on mission priorities
Experience/Skills
- Ten (10) years relevant experience of Okta Integrations: Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and privileged access management
- Five (5) years of experience in developing Okta Workflows, IGA and a minimum of Two (2) years of experience in Okta IGA
- Experience with other IAM solutions beyond Okta;
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Deep understanding of identity federation protocols such as SAML, OAuth, SCIM and OpenID Connect
- Hands-on experience with Okta API integrations and System Administration
