Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our technology operations team. This is an advanced-level role requiring deep expertise in Oracle database systems, production support, and Unix-based environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to system performance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-level production support for Oracle databases in a 24x7 environment.

Perform complex installations, upgrades, configurations, customizations, and tuning of Oracle databases.

Lead and coordinate design, implementation, and support of technical database solutions.

Analyze root causes of issues and provide resolutions or escalate to vendors when needed.

Conduct problem management, change control, and database performance monitoring.

Support and maintain systems in AIX, Unix, and Linux environments.

Maintain database security through Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and TLS.

Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and support weekend/holiday maintenance windows.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical insights during strategic planning and system design.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience supporting Oracle databases in a production environment.

Experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c, including Real Application Clusters (RAC) and ASM.

Expertise in RMAN, Data Pump, and PL/SQL scripting.

Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, backup/recovery, patching, cloning, and failover strategies.

Hands-on experience with performance tuning and query optimization.

Proficient in shell scripting and automation tools.

Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and SQL Developer.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:

Prior experience supporting Oracle databases in Java-based application environments.

Working knowledge of database partitioning and replication strategies.

Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team structure.

Demonstrated success working in complex, multi-system environments.
