Job Details

Position : SAFe Product Owner

Location : Washington, DC (Locals)
Experience 10+

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary voice of the customer, maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog to reflect business goals and user value.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business, technology, and operations to define and communicate product vision and roadmap.

  • Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.

  • Work cross-functionally with other Product Owners to ensure cohesive feature delivery across digital touchpoints.

  • Participate in PI Planning and SAFe ceremonies to ensure alignment with team and train-level objectives.

  • Use metrics and feedback to validate product performance, inform prioritization, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Champion SAFe principles and Agile best practices throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, FigJam, Jira Align, and AgilityHealth to manage requirements and delivery transparency.

Qualifications:

  • SAFe 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager Certification (or 3+ years of experience in a SAFe environment)

  • 5+ years as a Product Owner in Agile environments, ideally in customer-facing digital products

  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills

  • Familiarity with customer journey mapping
