Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a leading enterprise in the financial services sector. This role will help enhance current processes, automate reporting, and drive efficiencies that allow the team to scale. We are looking for someone who brings both strong analytical execution and leadership capability, with a clear growth path toward leading others on the team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage business analysis efforts for Technology, with a focus on expense management, budgeting, and ongoing operational reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Accounts Payable, and Technology leaders to evaluate budget requests, ensure alignment with financials, and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Facilitate meetings, presentations, and updates for senior leadership; influence stakeholders through strong communication and executive presence.
  • Track, analyze, and update budget items throughout the year, identifying impacts, changes, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Support BMO leadership by overseeing junior team members and serving as a lead when needed.
  • Query databases, perform data validation, resolve reporting inconsistencies, and improve data reliability.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the BMO, delivering excellent service to internal stakeholders while balancing workload efficiency.
  • Manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while identifying risks and helping reprioritize work.
  • Develop and enhance business processes, reporting structures, and methodologies to increase efficiency and standardization.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights, highlighting the key messages (“the so what”) for Technology leadership

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in financial analysis or operational analysis within financial services or a technology organization supporting financial services.
  • Strong understanding of expense management, budgeting, and operational reporting processes.
  • Advanced experience with Tableau and PowerBI; familiarity with ServiceNow is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach team members and collaborate across departments.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and can work independently with minimal supervision.
