Job Details
Our client, located in Hartford, CT, is currently in need of a Sr VMware vSphere / vSAN Consultant for a 3 month contract. The consultant will work 50% onsite, 50% remote, alternating weeks, in support of vSAN architecture and deployment in a complicated vSphere environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with documentation development and knowledge transfer with vSAN, vCenter, and ESXi.

- The consultants will assist in operationalizing the environment after the basic racking and cabling of the new PowerEdge R760 servers is completed by the customer.
- Assist in development and/or validation of VMware vSphere design with PowerEdge server platform.
- Facilitate design discussion around VMware vSAN architecture and intended use
- Review prerequisites and core services (vCenter, DHCP, NTP, etc.).
- Assist with:
- Network configuration for vSAN.
- Cluster creation and storage policy definition.
- Lifecycle management setup
- Monitoring integration (if applicable).
Required Skills:
- with the ability to pass an in-depth background check
- Ability to work onsite in Hartford, CT every other week
- VMware vSphere/vSAN architecture and deployment
- Knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation
- vSAN networking configuration and validation
- Storage policy design and governance in vSAN
- Documentation and knowledge transfer
- VCF knowledge and experience
