Job Details

Our client is looking for an IT Director that will play a critical role in leading the selection and implementation of a SAAS based ERP system that drives the efficiency and effectiveness of our business operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, the IT Director will oversee a team of three direct reports and collaborate closely with various departments to ensure the successful integration and utilization of IT systems and initiatives. This person should possess strong communication and customer resolution skills. The IT Director role is an in-Office position and our client is located in Tampa.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:
" Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for IT initiatives.
" Coordinate resources, tasks, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
" Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing effective contingency plans as needed.
" This is a high growth company that is growing organically and by acquisition. The IT department will be heavily involved in the integration of new acquisitions.


Vendor Management:
" Evaluate and select third-party vendors and service providers for IT projects and ongoing support.
" Negotiate contracts, service level agreements, and pricing terms with vendors to optimize value and minimize costs.
" Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor relationships, managing communication and resolving issues as they arise.


ERP System Selection and Implementation:
" Lead the evaluation and selection process for an ERP system that aligns with the business needs and objectives.
" Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, develop project timelines, and manage the implementation process.
" Oversee the configuration, testing, and deployment of the chosen ERP system, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.


IT Strategy and Innovation:
" Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for IT initiatives, aligning with the overall business strategy and goals.
" Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the IT infrastructure and systems landscape.
" Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending solutions that enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.


Team Leadership and Development:
" Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
" Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide regular feedback to direct reports, supporting their professional growth and development.
" Foster cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing
within the IT team and across departments.


Requirements:

" Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,
or a related field;
" At least 3+ year's experience in IT leadership role
" Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading complex IT projects from inception to completion.
" Strong customer service and problem resolution skills
" Experience in selecting, implementing, and managing ERP systems a plus;
" Excellent vendor management skills, including negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship management.
" Understanding of high transactional systems a plus
" Strategic thinker with the ability to align IT initiatives with business objectives and drive innovation.
" There could be some infrequent travel as we operate in 5 states
" Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
