Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst who will support our client. The ideal candidate for this role will be highly skilled and have extensive experience in knowledge management and technical expertise to lead the establishment and operationalization of an Institutional Knowledge Unit. The role involves defining frameworks, processes, and technology solutions for capturing, managing, and disseminating critical organizational knowledge. This role will drive knowledge management initiatives, ensuring institutional knowledge is preserved, accessible, and utilized effectively to enhance decision-making and efficiency.

Duties:

  • Lead the design and implementation of knowledge management frameworks, policies, and processes.

  • Conduct comprehensive gap analyses to identify knowledge-sharing challenges and opportunities.

  • Define and document business requirements for knowledge management systems and tools with technical precision.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement enterprise-level digital platforms for knowledge sharing.

  • Develop advanced strategies for knowledge capture, storage, retrieval, and retention.

  • Engage stakeholders across departments to promote a strong knowledge-sharing culture.

  • Design and implement metrics to measure knowledge utilization and effectiveness.

  • Conduct training and awareness programs to enhance user adoption of knowledge management practices.

  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and intellectual property policies related to knowledge management.

  • Stay informed on best practices and emerging trends in knowledge management and enterprise learning.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Knowledge Management, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with expertise in knowledge management, documentation, or enterprise learning.

  • NYS government experience.

  • Strong technical understanding of knowledge management principles, methodologies, and tools.

  • Experience in implementing enterprise knowledge repositories, intranet portals, or collaboration platforms.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders across the organization.

  • Familiarity with change management practices related to knowledge adoption.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with digital transformation and enterprise content management is a plus.

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), preferred but not required
