Job Details

Position: Mobile Architect

Location:Remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end technical architecture for mobile and frontend systems across POS devices and platforms.

  • Define architecture patterns (MVVM, Redux, Clean Architecture, etc.) and enforce coding standards and best practices.

  • Design and implement offline-first mobile solutions with secure local data storage and sync capabilities.

  • Collaborate with backend architects to integrate APIs, security protocols, and middleware layers.

  • Ensure the architecture supports modularization, reusability, and ease of maintenance.

  • Oversee the technical roadmap, proof-of-concepts, and technology evaluations.

  • Guide the React Native implementation for cross-platform development including iOS, Android, and embedded POS hardware.

  • Partner with Product Managers, QA, DevOps, and UX teams to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business goals.

  • Review code, mentor developers, and lead design reviews and architectural discussions.

  • Evaluate and implement CI/CD, test automation, and deployment best practices for mobile apps.

  • Ensure compliance with security, PCI-DSS, and regulatory standards relevant to payment systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • 14+years of software development experience, with at least 5 years as a mobile or frontend architect.

  • Strong experience in React Native, JavaScript / TypeScript, and native mobile app development (Android/iOS).

  • Experience with POS terminal solutions, embedded systems, or softPOS technologies.

  • Expertise in offline data sync strategies, encrypted storage, and resilient network architecture.

  • Deep knowledge of frontend architecture principles, patterns, and cross-platform challenges.

  • Familiarity with device-level security, mobile provisioning, and app store deployments.

  • Experience working with enterprise-grade CI/CD systems and mobile DevOps pipelines.

  • Solid understanding of API design, OAuth2 / OpenID, and secure communication protocols.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PAX SDKs, Android POS terminals, or payment SDKs.

  • Familiarity with web technologies (React.js, WebSocket, GraphQL) for building administrative portals.

  • Previous experience in retail, payment systems, or financial applications.

  • Certifications in AWS / Azure architecture, mobile security, or Scrum are a plus.
