Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Technical Writer with experience supporting Intelligence customers. This position will translate highly technical documents for audiences that include government customers, Legal General Council, and Congressional support staff. This position will require a background in Systems and or Data Engineering in order to successfully translate requirements, policy and other highly technical documentation as required.

Responsibilities include:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Ensure all content meets high-quality standards.
  • Review and revise technical documents for accuracy and clarity.
  • Maintain consistency across all documentation.
  • Apply proper grammar and technical writing best practices.
  • Engage in stakeholder management and work with multiple programs and teams.
  • Gather information from subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure documentation meets project requirements.
  • Regularly review and update existing documentation.
  • Implement version control for documentation.
  • Archive outdated materials and maintain a documentation library.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to organizational standards.
  • Stay current with industry best practices for technical writing.
  • Apply consistent formatting and style guidelines across all documents.

Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly is REQUIRED.
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of related experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience within an IC Agency.
  • Strong technical writing and editing skills.
  • Background in Systems Engineering, Data Engineering or similar.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly content.
  • Experience with documentation tools and version control systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Deliverables will include:

User Manuals, troubleshooting guides, release notes, technical specifications, process documentation, end-user training guides, system administrator manuals, quick reference guides, video tutorials scripts, online help content, technical requirement documents, system design documents, project status reports, change management documentation, technical brochures, white papers, product datasheets, FAQ's, and knowledge base articles.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
