Lansa Developer - Remote

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Lansa Developer to join their team for a remote opportunity. The manager is looking for someone to start ASAP.

Overview:
This person will need to know AS/400 RPG program 'linking' using Lansa in screen building. They don't need to be an RPG developer, but Lansa experience is a requirement. The primary focus will be supporting their modernization initiative by building screens and linking AS/400 RPG programs using Lansa. This role is critical to ensuring readiness for beta release in January.

LANSA is an integrated development environment (IDE) and low-code platform designed for building applications on IBM i (AS/400) systems. It uses its own 4GL language called RDML/RDMLX, which abstracts business logic and simplifies development compared to traditional RPG or COBOL coding.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain application screens using Lansa
* Integrate and link AS/400 RPG programs within Lansa framework
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure modernization goals are met
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Lansa development and AS/400 integration
* Deliver high-quality, maintainable code within tight timelines

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience with Lansa development (mandatory)
* Strong understanding of AS/400 environment and RPG program linking
* Familiarity with modernization projects and legacy system integration
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal training
* Ability to build screens and manage workflows in Lansa

Nice-to-Have:
* Experience in modernization or migration projects
* Knowledge of RPG programming (not required but beneficial)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
