Position: SAP BASIS Consultant

Duration: 12 Months plus extension

Location: 100% Remote

Role Overview

The Mississippi Management and Reporting System (MMRS), part of the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA), seeks an SAP BASIS Consultant to provide technical support for MAGIC, the state s ERP system (SAP-based). The role also supports the implementation and integration of SAP SuccessFactors for HCM and Payroll.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support & system administration for SAP applications and SAP SuccessFactors (cloud-based).
Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, upgrades, and troubleshooting across SAP environments.
Support integration between SAP on-premise systems and cloud-based SuccessFactors.
Manage patches, support packages, security updates, and system error analysis.
Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure ERP system availability and stability.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years SAP BASIS administration, including:
- Installation and upgrades
- Applying support packages and patches
- Workload analysis & performance monitoring
- System error analysis
- Multi-landscape environment maintenance
2+ years supporting SAP operational systems for a Public Sector client.
2+ years working with Linux/DB2 and Windows/MSSQL environments.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with SAP modules in Financials, Procurement, or Grants Management.
Experience with large-scale ERP systems in the public sector.
Knowledge of hybrid environments (on-premise + cloud SAP).
