Job Description:
  • Client is seeking an experienced Identity (SailPoint) Solutions Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions across healthcare systems.
  • This role requires expertise in SailPoint IdentityIQ or IdentityNow with a deep understanding of healthcare compliance, regulatory standards, and security best practices.
  • The ideal candidate will work closely with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure secure and seamless access management while maintaining operational efficiency in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead SailPoint IAM implementations to enhance security, streamline workflows, and improve access control across clinical and administrative systems.
  • Design and optimize role based access control (RBAC), attribute based access control (ABAC), and least privilege models aligned with healthcare security standards.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, and other healthcare security regulations while managing patient data access controls.
  • Integrate SailPoint with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (Epic, Cerner), Active Directory (AD), HR systems (Workday, SAP), and critical healthcare applications.
  • Automate and manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access certification campaigns across the healthcare network.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement identity governance and privileged access management (PAM) solutions.
  • Develop custom rules (BeanShell, JavaScript), workflows, and connectors to extend SailPoint functionality for healthcare specific needs.
  • Address identity challenges specific to third party vendors, telehealth platforms, and mobile healthcare applications.
  • Monitor IAM performance, perform audits, and mitigate security risks to protect patient data and system integrity.
  • Serve as the technical SME, providing guidance on IAM best practices tailored to a healthcare environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of IAM experience, with SailPoint IdentityIQ or IdentityNow expertise in healthcare settings.
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, and other regulatory requirements related to healthcare identity management.
  • Experience integrating IAM solutions with EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner), medical imaging platforms, and clinical data repositories.
  • Proficiency in BeanShell, JavaScript, SailPoint workflows, UI customization.
  • Experience with API based integrations (REST/SOAP) for automated user lifecycle management in healthcare systems.
  • Understanding of medical staff credentialing workflows and secure access for practitioners.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and leadership abilities, with a focus on patient data security and operational continuity.
  • SailPoint certifications (IdentityNow or ISC Architect) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with healthcare IT systems and compliance driven IAM implementations.
  • Familiarity with multi factor authentication (MFA), biometric authentication, and secure remote access for healthcare professionals.
