Your role and responsibilities

IT Specialist, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US:

  • Perform software development, full-cycle software support, database (design, optimization, maintenance).
  • Develop applications to support data capturing, processing and archive.
  • Enhance the existing clients processes to provide flexibility to serve their customers by managing their assets.
  • Application management, groundwork development for new projects with particularly strong ability in determining which new technologies can appropriately be utilized to streamline data management.
  • Validate the technical feasibility of software and hardware solutions to meet the client's needs and service level agreements.
  • Use development skills in the areas of development, requirements gathering, defect resolution and management.
  • In addition to management and development of applications, perform disaster recovery, deployment, security and performance.
  • Use Microsoft.NET C# language to validate and apply standardization techniques to the data files while continuing the compressed state of the data to minimize space requirements.
  • Review and improve other applications designs to reduce response time in generating multiple reports.
  • Develop and implement testing and debugging methods to improve overall stability and performance of the software.
  • Design, develop and manage several standalone and multi-tier applications for client usage in the energy & utility industry.
  • Provide support to the in-house, web and custom applications.
  • Utilize C#, SQL Server, Windows Application, MVC, Web programming, .Net framework, Asp.net, Web Automation tools, and C# Language.

Required: Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Masters degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing C#, SQL Server, Windows Application, MVC, Web programming, .Net framework, Asp.net, Web Automation tools, and C# Language. $179,982 to $194,900 per year.
