Job Title: Agentic AI & Trade System Dynamics (Python Required)
Location: Irving, TX - Hybrid
About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly motivated Research Engineer with a strong background in Agentic AI, multi-agent systems, and trade failure modeling to join our AI and economic systems team. You will work at the intersection of AI safety, economics, and complex systems developing simulations and models that explore how autonomous AI agents interact in trade environments, and where these interactions may fail or misalign with human values.
- This role requires hands-on Python expertise for modeling, simulation, and algorithmic experimentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement simulations of autonomous agent behavior in multi-agent environments using Python.
- Investigate and model trade failure scenarios, including coordination breakdowns, incentive misalignments, and emergent adversarial dynamics.
- Develop and validate frameworks to detect, analyze, and mitigate trade failures among AI agents.
- Collaborate with researchers in AI safety, game theory, and economics to refine models and publish findings.
- Build Python-based tools for scenario testing, data analysis, and visualization.
- Contribute to internal white papers, research publications, and open-source toolkits.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in Python for research, simulation, or data modeling.
- Solid understanding of agent-based modeling, multi-agent systems, or agentic AI.
- Familiarity with concepts like market failure, value misalignment, or coordination failures in AI systems.
- Experience with scientific computing libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Matplotlib).
- Strong analytical thinking and an interest in AI alignment or AI governance.
