Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer Level 6 at the Architecture Level to join a dynamic team located in Fort Meade, MD. This position offers a competitive annual salary of $225k along with comprehensive benefits, and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) from the NSA.
As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing practical and technical expertise in systems engineering across various stages of the system lifecycle. Your contributions will be crucial in ensuring the design, documentation, and validation of complex systems used in a variety of high-priority, mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design & Architecture: Design and develop systems to meet project and client needs, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and desired outcomes.
- System Documentation Development: Create detailed documentation to describe system designs, architectures, and configurations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Requirements Gathering & Review: Lead the process of gathering and reviewing system requirements from stakeholders to ensure that the system meets both business and technical needs.
- System Verification: Perform rigorous verification of system designs to ensure that they meet specified requirements and are functional within operational environments.
- Concept of Operations (CONOPS): Develop and review CONOPS documents, ensuring clarity and feasibility for complex systems and processes.
- Collaboration: Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
Required Skills:
- Systems Engineering Expertise: Practical experience in system design, documentation development, system architecture, and system verification, with the ability to manage and execute complex systems engineering tasks.
- Clear Communication: Strong ability to explain technical work in a non-technical manner, ensuring that both technical and non-technical stakeholders can understand complex concepts and system requirements.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and work independently to drive the success of the project.
Desired Skills:
- MBSE Modeling Application: Proficiency in using a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) modeling application to manage and represent system requirements and architectures.
- Unified Architecture Framework (UAF ): Experience in developing artifacts that comply with the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF ), ensuring system architecture adheres to industry standards.
- Visualization Tools: Experience with visualization tools such as VUIT to represent complex systems and architecture in an easily understandable manner.
- Meta-Model Experience: Prior experience with the customer-specific Meta-Model (AIMM), or similar frameworks, to model system architectures and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
