Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer to support the development, documentation, and integration of mechanical, fluid, and thermal systems. This role involves detailed design work, system-level spatial integration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality engineering solutions. The engineer will contribute to proposal development, technical documentation, and supplier engagement, working under general supervision.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer to support the development, documentation, and integration of mechanical, fluid, and thermal systems. This role involves detailed design work, system-level spatial integration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality engineering solutions. The engineer will contribute to proposal development, technical documentation, and supplier engagement, working under general supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify detailed designs for mechanical and fluid system components and assemblies.
- Support system design proposals by preparing documentation and defining high-level requirements for downstream users and customers.
- Perform spatial integration of systems and components, including mechanisms, landing gear, and ordinance systems.
- Assist in the creation of technical documents, specifications, and procedures for mechanical systems.
- Participate in supplier design reviews and evaluate non-conformances.
- Analyze design results and contribute to formal design reviews.
- Support proposal preparation and new business development initiatives.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Create and refine component-level and assembly-level mechanical designs.
- Document engineering processes and specifications to support manufacturing and compliance.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to review designs and resolve technical issues.
- Conduct system safety analysis and requirements validation.
- Engage in continuous improvement and support engineering best practices.
Required Skills & Tools:
- Proficiency in Mechanical Design
- Experience with CATIA for 3D modeling and design
- Knowledge of System Safety Analysis
- Expertise in Requirements Development
- Familiarity with DOORS for requirements management
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience, or
- Master's degree in Engineering with applicable experience
- Degree must be from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related technical field.
